Francis 'Butch' Storrs is a 1968 graduate of the Ratcliffe
Hicks School of Agriculture and a Vietnam Veteran. In 1972
he founded Distinctive Landscaping. His many years of
experience in the nursery and landscaping fields has given
him an extensive knowledge of his trade, and his
distinctive designs and eye for detail have earned him the
respect of his peers. Butch is also a Certified Nurseryman
with the Connecticut Nurseryman's Association.
Carolyn Storrs is a Certified Nurserywoman and an
Accredited Landscape Technician I & II with the
Connecticut Nurseryman's Association. She also has served
on various boards of the Connecticut Nurseryman's
Association. She has taught classes on landscaping and has
published articles in "The American Nurseryman" magazine.
In 2006 Carolyn was honored to receive the AWARD OF MERIT,
the highest award given by her peers thru the Connecticut
Nursery and Landscape Association.
Carolyn is active in the bidding and contracting end of
the business and is registered as a Woman Owned Business
Enterprise and Small Business Set-Aside, and Connecticut
D.O.T. approved contractor.

employed. The majority of our employees are OSHA 10
certified and five employees are Certified Nursery
Professionals.
